Description
Explanatory and subjective, utilizing neither traditional Buddhist nor modern Western methodologies, incorporating translation terminologies and explanatory essays going back a hundred years, this essay on "the arising of mind" (sic) adds nothing to our understanding of Mahāyāna Buddhism or the text in question. The concept bodhicitta being indeed central to Mahāyāna Buddhism, the author feels free to take up any question, in any order, that occurs to him. One cannot discern any principle of organization, either traditional Buddhist, e.g., the "six perfections" of the BCA, nor any modern method. Neither the Tibetan translation, nor the Sanskrit commentary by Prajñākaramati, has been utilized.
