All sorrow without exception lacks a possessor. It is only because sorrow is sorrow that it should be avoided; why do you imagine then that the sorrow you must allay is limited to your own?[p.429]How to Be a Bodhisattva: Introduction to the Practice of the Bodhisattva Path (The Bodhicaryāvatāra)

Therefore no distinctions can be made in it. Since pain is pain, it is to be dispelled.
What use is there in drawing boundaries?[p.124]The Way of the Bodhisattva (2006)Blankleder, Helena, and Wulstan Fletcher (Padmakara Translation Group), trans.
Without a possessor of suffering
Everything is without distinction
Because it is suffering, it is to be eliminated. What use is this definiteness here?
Since there is no experiencer of suffering,
There is no difference at all. Because it is suffering, it should be dispelled.
As this is certain, why not act?
