| English | Thereafter, among the superior domains that are the formless attainments, deliverances, spheres of mastery and so on, one should apply oneself according to the division of aspects of the meditation object and so on. Having stabilized the mind upon the meditation object in this way, one should analyze by means of wisdom—since the complete relinquishment of the seed of delusion occurs on the basis of generating the light of knowledge. Otherwise, by means of samādhi on its own, there would be no relinquishment of the defilements—just as with the tīrthikas. As is stated in the sūtra: |
