| English | One would be opposed to various kinds of discernment taught by the Illustrious One throughout the sūtra, if the discernment of reality were not to be undertaken. So, while it is reasonable to say, “We of little wisdom and little energy are unable to seek wide instruction,” it is not reasonable to abandon it, since wide instruction of many kinds is praised by the Illustrious One. And again this is indicated in the Brahmaparipṛcchā: |
