One might respond, “In your Buddhist system, is the person that accumulates karma the person or self that experiences the maturation or not? If it is, then it is permanent. If it is not, then the accumulator of karma does not experience the maturation. Since the experiencer of the maturation did not accumulate the karma, then the action performed would perish; the same problems remain as before, which are intractable.”
