English	The great Victor’s child Śāntideva composed the Anthology of Training, which is a meaning-commentary on Nāgārjuna’s Anthology of Sūtras, so it elucidates and expands upon its meaning. It first describes contemplations on the importance of the freedoms and advantages, and their being difficult to find, which generates the wish to extract the essence of this life. Then, based on a general faith, and mainly, a stable faith that sees the qualities of the Mahāyāna, it teaches the cultivation of the aspirational spirit of awakening (smon sems) and upholding the commitment to engage it. Next, it teaches all the trainings of the spirit of awakening, consisting of the six transcendent perfections, and shows the way it is practiced through a twelvefold: giving, protecting, purifying, and developing one’s threefold body, enjoyments, and roots of vitue. It states this extensively with many citations from sūtras.[p.39]The Profound Reality of Interdependence Duckworth, Douglas S., trans. Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a compassionate being who is training on the path to buddhahood and aspires to eliminate the suffering of all beings and take all sentient beings to the state of enlightenment. The Mahāyāna sūtras including those on buddha-nature generally have bodhisattvas as the main audience or interlocutors for the Buddha's discourses. Skt बोधिसत्त्व  Tib བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ།  Ch 菩薩
