For the way that cognitive obscurations are eliminated, there is none other than a fourfold division of greater, middling, and lesser cognitive obscurations; and within the lesser ones, those that are subtle and coarse. These are eliminated like this: The greater cognitive obscurations are eliminated on the eighth ground by the uninterrupted path that is their direct antidote. The middling ones are eliminated by the uninterrupted path on the ninth ground. The coarse lesser ones are eliminated at the beginning of the uninterrupted path on the tenth ground, and the subtle lesser cognitive obscurations are eliminated on the uninterrupted path at the end of the continuum. Each of these uninterrupted paths has a path of liberation that it induces, but these are easily understood by implication. The path of liberation induced by the uninterrupted path at the end of the continuum is the Mahāyāna path of no more learning (mi slob lam).
