| English | The way that the things removed on the path of seeing are eliminated is as follows: [745] The uninterrupted path of seeing eliminates them by means of eliminating the potentials for the imputed afflictive obscurations that are to be removed on the path of seeing. The continua of persons in which resides the last gnosis of “the supreme quality” (chos mchog) on the path of joining becomes oriented (mngon du phyogs pa) toward the arising of the uninterrupted path on the Mahāyāna path of seeing. At the same time, the potentials in their continua for concepts that are to be removed on the path of seeing become oriented toward cessation. What is to be removed is eliminated as the uninterrupted Mahāyāna path of seeing arises in their continua at the same time as the cessation of the potentials for concepts to be removed on the path of seeing, such that they are not capable of arising again in their continua. In the second instant, the elimination of what is to be removed on the path of seeing is actualized in their continua at the same time as the attainment of the path of liberation on the path of seeing. |
