English	Secondly, the reply: Even without achieving the view of emptiness, there is yogic perception that newly and directly sees the selflessness of persons that is the emptiness of a self-subsisting, substantial existence. This occurs through habituating to the sixteen aspects of the four truths such as impermanence, as described in the two Abhidharma texts, that are ascertained by a source of knowledge. Therefore, it is reasonable here to describe as provisional in meaning the sūtras that teach these kinds of paths as the paths of seeing and meditation, as well as the sūtras that claim that all the potentials for both of these things to be removed are thereby eliminated, whereby there is attainment up to an Arhat. [726] For example, there are sūtras that claim that the ten grounds and the three later paths are traversed based on ascertaining by a source of knowledge the emptiness that negates an apprehended and apprehender as distinct substances, and by habituating to this. Abhidharma - Abhidharma generally refers to the corpus of Buddhist texts which deals with the typological, phenomenological, metaphysical, and epistemological presentation of Buddhist concepts and teachings. Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a compassionate being who is training on the path to buddhahood and aspires to eliminate the suffering of all beings and take all sentient beings to the state of enlightenment.
