English	The path that realizes the emptiness of the person existing as a selfsubsisting substance is not able to eliminate any potentials for the afflictions. Yet it can stop some of the manifest afflictions that are described in the two Abhidharma texts. If a mundane path shared with the non-Buddhists that has the form of a coarse peace can stop some of the manifest afflictions below the sphere of Nothing Whatsoever, then it is needless to mention that a path that realizes this kind of coarse selflessness of persons can eliminate some of the manifest afflictions described in the Abhidharma. Nevertheless, in this Prāsaṅgika system, to apprehend true existence is said to be an afflictive obscuration. Thus, this kind of path cannot eliminate the ignorance that apprehends true existence, nor through its influence can even the mere manifest afflictions that are beliefs or the unique afflictions that are not beliefs be eliminated. This is because it is necessary to realize emptiness to eliminate them.

Abhidharma - Abhidharma generally refers to the corpus of Buddhist texts which deals with the typological, phenomenological, metaphysical, and epistemological presentation of Buddhist concepts and teachings. The Abhidharma teachings present a metaknowledge of Buddhist sūtras through analytical and systemic schemas and are said to focus on developing wisdom among the three principles of training. Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a compassionate being who is training on the path to buddhahood and aspires to eliminate the suffering of all beings and take all sentient beings to the state of enlightenment.
