English	As for the third argument, the autocommentary says: “Due to a distorted observation of the essence of things like material forms, even the selflessness of persons would not be realized because the aggregates are observed, which is the cause for designating a self.”231Candrakīrti, Autocommentary on the “Introduction to the Middle Way,” 226b. This means that it would absurdly follow that Arhats who are Disciples and Self-Realized Ones would not genuinely realize the selflessness of persons because they have not undermined its distorted conceived object, which is the conception of the aggregates (the basis of designation for the person) as truly existent. Without undermining the conceived object of the aggregates (the basis for designation) apprehended as truly existent, there is the apprehension that they truly exist. As long as this is the case, the conceived object of the apprehension of a person (the designated phenomenon) as truly existent cannot be undermined.

Anātman - The Buddhist teaching of "non-self" or "selflessness"—the understanding that there is no permanent, unchanging self or soul within living beings. Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a compassionate being who is training on the path to buddhahood and aspires to eliminate the suffering of all beings and take all sentient beings to the state of enlightenment.
