The fourth component is not to see the problems with doing the negative action. How the problems are not seen is like this: the desirable side of the negative action is seen while the undesirable side is not seen. negation—both shame and embarrassment are not there, and the problems of the action are not seen; and two in terms of affirmation—there is a wish to do it again, and there is enjoyment and satisfaction. The former two have to be continuous—from the beginning with the motivation to perform the negative deed, up to immediately after completing the main part of the deed. If either of these two are not there—if there is shame and embarrassment or the problems with the deed are seen—then the components of a great fetter are not all in place. As for the presence of the latter two, these must occur without either of them lapsing until the main part of the action is completed, but it is not necessary for there to be a continuity of their similar type. It should be known to be a great fetter when all four of these components are in place.
