English	Here it is said that it must be the teachings of all the aspects of the path; so later, it is explained as a misdeed when saying, “forsaking the Mahāyāna.”415Candragomin, Twenty Verses on the Bodhisattva Vow, v. 16c, 167a. This is understood as a rejection of part of the meaning of the Mahāyāna; it is similar for the other two vehicles as well—that of the śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas. You might think, “This conflicts with what is said later, that ‘forsaking the Śrāvaka Vehicle’416Candragomin, Twenty Verses on the Bodhisattva Vow, v. 15c, 167a. is a misdeed.” There is no contradiction because that refers to merely disparaging it, not forsaking it by saying that it was not spoken by the Buddha.

Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others.
