But whereas one can understand a great deal or very little about arts and crafts, and likewise become expert or otherwise in the treatises that explain conventional phenomena, when it comes to the direct realization of the nature of things, if one qualifies the mind that accomplishes this as being either good or bad, one falls into absurd consequences.149The ultimate truth is an absolute value in the realization of which there can be no progression. Either it is realized perfectly or not at all. And the mind that is the subject of such a realization transcends the world and is by definition supreme. |
