English	Enlightened ones and all your Bodhisattva heirs, I offer you my body throughout all my lives. Supreme courageous ones accept me totally. For with devotion I will be your slave. To the Buddhas, the Victorious Lords, who have vanquished the four demons,80For an explanation of the four demons, see Treasury, p. 408. and to the host of their Bodhisattva offspring, Shantideva, henceforth and for all his lives to come, makes a constant and uninterrupted offering of his own body, which is so dear and necessary to him. He begs the supreme heroes, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, the lords of the three lineages81I.e., Manjushri, Avalokiteshvara, and Vajrapani. and so forth, to accept him completely and to adopt him as their own. Having thus become their respectful subject in body, speech, and mind, he pledges himself to fulfill their wishes.
