Description

A Mahāyāna sūtra (Skt. Ratnakaraṇḍanāmamahāyānasūtra; Tib. 'Phags pa dkon mchog gi za ma tog ces bya ba theg pa chen po'i mdo) concerning Mañjuśrī's miraculous powers and the qualities to be cultivated by bodhisattvas. It was translated into Chinese by Guṇabhadra between 435–443 CE, with an earlier translation attributed to Dharmarakṣa. It is Toh 117 in the Derge Kangyur (RKTSK 117) and should be distinguished from the later, better-known Kāraṇḍavyūhasūtra (Toh 116), with which it is sometimes conflated in secondary sources due to the similarity of their titles.
