Enslaving others, forcing them to serve me,

I will come to know the state of servitude. But if I labor for the good of others,

Mastery and leadership will come to me.

But if we enslave others to our own interest, we will have to experience the miserable, painful condition of servitude in our next lives. For example, it was said that the six-year-long pregnancy of Drakzinma was the fully ripened effect of forcing someone to carry a pitcher full of water in one of her previous existences. If on the other hand we labor for others as though we were their servants, we will enjoy mastery and leadership in our next lives. We will be prosperous and happy, attended by good servants and helpers.

Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a compassionate being who is training on the path to buddhahood and aspires to eliminate the suffering of all beings and take all sentient beings to the state of enlightenment.
