Description

The Subāhuparipṛcchāsūtrobhavapraṇidhāna ("The Aspirational Prayer Taken from the Sūtra of the Questions of Subāhu") is an anonymous aspirational prayer extracted from the Subāhuparipṛcchāsūtra and preserved in the Tengyur (RKTST 3715). The prayer is a first-person bodhisattva aspiration encompassing the full range of Mahāyāna practice: offering one's body to the buddhas and bodhisattvas throughout all directions, making infinite aspirations across future lives, fulfilling the six perfections, maintaining ethical conduct, teaching the Dharma to all beings, and never turning back from the path to enlightenment. The prayer concludes with the aspiration to train in all the virtues of the bodhisattvas and buddhas and to establish all worlds within the teachings.
