English

The three things to be avoided are, (1) having taken refuge in the Buddha, you should not take refuge in worldly gods and powerful people of this world; (2) having taken refuge in the Dharma, you should give up all forms of violence, whether in thought, word, or deed; and (3) having taken refuge in the Sangha, you should not willingly share the lifestyle of those who live in a totally wrong way, nor distrust the karmic law of cause and effect.
