Just as space provides room for the mountains and continents to exist, the wisdom and compassion of Avalokiteshvara and all buddhas allow beings to realize liberation. The compassion of buddhas is not limited or preferential-it is not bound by like and dislike, or by paniality for one over another. Their compassion is all-encompassing, like the sky. Avalokiteshvara is ever aware of who can be set on the path of the Mahayana, and of who is ready to be guided to Amitabha's Buddhafield of Bliss. Avalokiteshvara's compassion knows no barrier or delay. His compassionate activity is effortless and spontaneous. Even a fresh summer breeze is the activity of the buddhas.
