| English | When one cultivates insight and wisdom becomes too acute, then, if one's tranquility is too meagre, one's mind might waver like a butter-lamp placed in the wind. And on account of that it would not see the truth very clearly. Then, at that time, tranquility should be cultivated. But if tranquility becomes excessive, wisdom should again be cultivated. At the time when both are equally balanced, one should abide spontaneously as long as there is no pain in the body or mind. |
