English

Objects of negation by reasoning are twofold: (1) misconceptions that superimpose distortions onto reality and (2) the objects of these kinds of apprehension. The former is an existent object of knowledge, like the apprehension of true existence. The latter is not existent as an object of knowledge, like true existence. Between these two, the main object of negation is the latter. This is because, if it is not seen that what a misconception takes to exist is undermined by reason, then there is no other way for that misconception to be negated. When it is seen that what a misconception takes to exist is undermined by reason, then through this one can ascertain that things do not exist in the way they are apprehended. Based on this, one can uproot the seeds of misconception.
