The vowed disciplines that are held in order to protect the minds of others should be held strongly in mind by the bodhisattvas, guarded even more so than the śrāvakas do. The vowed disciplines that are for the sake of minor purposes should not be guarded as the śrāvakas do because this would detract from the welfare of others. For the vowed disciplines that are natural, they need to be accepted and rejected in the way that will be explained specifically below. |
