Nevertheless, if you cannot practice the trainings of the aspirational spirit, it is appropriate just to do the preparations first and generate just the thought, “May I become a buddha for the welfare of all sentient beings.” This is because this serves the purpose of implanting the predisposition for cultivating the Mahāyāna spirit of awakening. |
