| English | Again, although the self-knowing mind is established through direct perception, some people—addled by their study of tenet systems—are nevertheless unsure of this and will not use the expression “self-knowing mind.” And yet, when one scrutinizes one’s inner forum, everything that arises before the mind appears clearly and indubitably without any need to posit some kind of chronological sequence. This is the direct perception of the self-knowing mind (rang rig mngon sum). This being so, to say that there is no such thing as the self-knowing mind is an amazing misrepresentation. It is like holding something in one’s hand and saying that one is not carrying it. |
