| English | Accordingly, the ultimate nature of things, being free from all onto-logical extremes—of existence, nonexistence, both, and neither—is not the object of the mind’s experience. For [ordinary] mind and language belong to the relative. They are not ultimate. All that the ordinary mind conceives and all that language expresses—all such phenomena, which are objects of thought and word—are found, when examined, to be nonexistent. They are empty like mirages; they can never withstand analysis. Therefore the Lord, the Blessed One, has said in one of the sutras:9That is, Āryasaṃvṛtiparamārthasatyanirdeśasūtra. |
