English	All those who slight me to my face Or do to me some other evil, Even if they blame or slander me, May they attain the fortune of enlightenment! Here again Shantideva prays that the actions of beings should not fail to achieve their better interest. For he wishes that all who slight him to his face or who commit some other outrage toward his person and property—as well as all who blame and slander him when his back is turned—should also attain the fortune of enlightenment.

Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a compassionate being who is training on the path to buddhahood and aspires to eliminate the suffering of all beings and take all sentient beings to the state of enlightenment.
