Description

The Bodhisattvamārgakramasaṃgraha ("A Compendium of the Stages of the Path of a Bodhisattva") is a short verse text composed by the Kashmiri scholar Śākyaśrībhadra. The text presents a condensed overview of the bodhisattva path, covering reliance on a spiritual guide, the difficulty of obtaining human rebirth, impermanence, karma, the selflessness of persons and phenomena, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and the view of emptiness. It was composed at the urging of the translator Jampa Pal (Byams pa'i dpal), who also translated it into Tibetan together with the author at the Gyang Rölü temple.
