Shri Diwakar Publications

Shri Diwakar Publications is a Buddhist publishing house in Kalimpong, India, founded in 2003 by the Fourteenth Shamar Rinpoche, Mipham Chökyi Lodrö (1952–2014), to preserve and reprint Buddhist texts. Shamar Rinpoche appointed Professor Sempa Dorje (ca. 1929–2022) as its president and chief editor, assisted by Khenpo Tsultrim Sangpo and Khenpo Mriti. Its publications include key texts of the Karma Kagyu tradition, an eighteen-volume collection of Mahāmudrā teachings edited by Shamar Rinpoche, and numerous works by Sempa Dorje himself. Among these are his commentary on the Śālistambasūtra, 'Phags pa sā lu'i ljang pa zhes bya ba'i mdo don legs par bshad pa blo gsal rna ba'i rgyan (2017), and his three-volume commentary on Śāntarakṣita's Tattvasaṃgraha. The press is known for its modern book layouts and careful editing of Tibetan texts.
