too, such as 'King of the Sky,' 'Bountiful Lasso,' 'He who Dredges the Depths of Samsara,' 'Great Compassionate One,' 'Ocean of Victorious Ones,' 'Khasarpani,' 'Lion's Roar,' 'Unwinding in Ultimate Mind' and 'Sovereign of the Universe."33These names correspond to various aspects of Avalokiteshvara. King of the Sky (nam mkha’i rgyal po), Bountiful Lasso (don yod zhags pa), He Who Dredges the Depths of Samsara (’khor ba dong sprugs), Greatly Compassionate Transformer of Beings (’gro ’dul thugs rje chen po), and Ocean of Victorious Ones (rgyal ba rgya mtsho), as explained in Dilgo Khyentse’s The Heart Treasure of the Enlightened Ones (Boston: Shambhala, 1992, pp. 133–40), can be seen as the pure nature of, respectively, the skandhas of form, feeling, appraisal, impulse, and consciousness, while Khasarpani (kha sarpa Ni), Lion’s Roar (senge sgra), Unwinding in Ultimate Mind (sems nyid ngal gso), and Sovereign of the Universe“ (’jig rten dbang phyug) represent the pure nature of body, speech, mind, and the continuum of dharmakaya (ibid., pp. 140–44). As human beings, if we develop devotion and faith in Avalokiteshvara, we can receive his blessings and realize all his enlightened qualities.
