The sublime method of the bodhisattva's ripening of all beings, his field, his body and his many worldly attendants definitely must rest upon the virtues beginning with giving. If it were not so, then how would the endowment of a Buddha-field and so on come to fruition? Thus the wisdom that is the omniscience endowed with the best of all aspects is completed by method, beginning with giving. And therefore the Buddha affirmed, "As for the wisdom that is omniscience, it reaches its completion through method."
