| English | Other than being designated upon a mere continuum of aggregates, there is nothing that transfers from here to there as it is asserted by non-Buddhists. From a continuum of aggregates in the intermediate existence, there are aggregates in the existence of birth. From this, there is the existence of a prior time from which there is the existence of death and again the intermediate existence. The continuum of aggregates is impermanent like the wheel of a spinning firebrand. Even without a permanent self, there is no contradiction with the continuum of aggregates entering into the womb, and so forth. For example, even though a flame changes every instant, there is a continuum that goes to another place. As in the case of the flame, there is no contradiction here.
