Here I show how to refute a permanent spirit through argument: if a spirit that is the enjoyer of the five basics such as sound were permanent, it would absurdly follow that it would need to always apprehend sound even when there was no sound. Later, I will show how to refute a permanent primal basis and production from self. One should know the ways of refuting a material intellect and so on from elsewhere.་
