These are not problems. The Enjoyment Body is understood to be a permanent continuity because it constantly appears to sublime bodhisattvas; it is not a permanent entity. Bodhisattvas go from one happiness to the next because of the influence of the spirit of awakening. Buddha-nature is said to be the basic nature of the continuum of a sentient being; it is not like a self that is singular and permanent. Because of the power of prayers, the buddhas do not completely pass into nirvana; nirvana is taught to be peace because all concepts are pacified. Therefore, it is not the case that the Mahāyāna is not the Buddha’s Word.
