Through cultivation in this way, how the Mahāyāna path is progressively traversed through habituation with the realization of emptiness is like this: With inspired conduct (mos spyod), when a stable cultivation of the spirit of awakening is attained, this is said to be the path of accumulation (tshogs lam). The criterion for stability is that it is upheld from its onset until the accumulations are gathered for three countless eons. Stablity has four characteristics, as stated in the Compendium of Mahāyāna: |
