[661] In the way of presenting the two truths according to the Vaibhāṣika’s system, a conventional truth is a phenomenon, apprehended by cognition, that can be eliminated through separating it into parts, either by demolishing it physically or analyzing it mentally. that the mind does not engage it. In contrast, an ultimate truth is a phenomenon that cannot be eliminated by a cognition apprehending it, either by physical demolition or mental analysis. For instance, an ultimate truth is like a partless minute particle or a partless moment of cognition. In this way, the Treasury of Metaphysics (Abhidharmakośa) says:
