| English | Special insight with the form of selflessness is a special quality of Buddhists. Within this as well, there are two forms: (1) special insight with simply a common feature of selflessness and (2) special insight with the feature of selfless reality that eliminates the potentials for afflictions from the root. The latter one may lack the attainment of concentration and formless absorption, but it can achieve sheer liberation, freedom from existence, through meditation based on just the calm abiding that is included within the preparation for the first concentration.
