English

When any sentient being encounters me for whatever reason, may it not be meaningless for this life or the future, but may it bring about whatever they want to achieve. May it be a circumstance for them to get whatever they want. This is the general aspiration. For specific aspirations, there is the intention: May their thoughts be meaningful when any sentient being thinks of me, whether it be in tremendous anger in their mindstream or in pure faith (the great commentary says “or with a mind lacking faith”). 341See Prajñākaramati, Commentary on the Way of the Bodhisattva, 72a. In any case, through their intention, whatever they think—whether they are angered, faithful, or lacking faith—may it be a cause for them to easily achieve whatever they want, the higher realms or liberation, in the short term and long term. This is mind training with an aspiration for intentions to be meaningful.
