| English | There are those who reside in fields in all the worlds in the ten directions who are now becoming buddhas; if I do not request them to teach the Dharma without delay, they may remain without teaching with a humble heart. As a support for the request to them, I imagine offerings like a golden wheel and a Dharma conch. With hands folded together and an inspired mind, I make this supplication with speech: “Sentient beings are oppressed by numerous sufferings, which are effects caused by the confusion of ignorance obscuring and covering our mindstreams. For us who do not know what is the way from what is not the way, and do not know what to accept and reject, please ignite the great lamp of the sacred Dharma in accord with our individual dispositions. Clear away the darkness of ignorance and illuminate and precisely clarify all that is to be adopted and what is to be avoided. Please teach us the authentic path of liberation!” |
