I rejoice with gladness in all those virtues gathered. Their effects are freedom for embodied, sentient beings from all the sufferings of cyclic existence, including the subtle suffering that pervades all conditioned things, and the attainment of the awakening of a śrāvaka or pratyekabuddha. I rejoice in these with gladness. Sometimes, this stanza is explained as the cause and effect of the three kinds of awakening in general. |
