| English | If you hold tantric vows, it is said to be necessary that they are connected with a commitment to practice the three trainings, done so through generating the spirit of awakening and through holding the vows of the five buddha families as well. Also, in many genuine maṇḍala rituals, it is necessary to uphold both the shared and unique vows; the shared ones are the bodhisattva vows. Furthermore there is no Perfection Vehicle path other than generating the spirit of awakening and upholding its trainings—practicing the six perfections and the three trainings in accord with the commitment. This is certainly necessary when you engage in Mantra through any of the four classes of tantra as well. |
