English	You Logicians say, “If one claims the self to be something that has mind, these mistakes [above] certainly do apply, but we claim that it is something without mind.” Something incognizant is also not the self for the very reason that it has no mind, for example, just like a garment or cloth and such. You might venture, “Granted, the self is without mind, but since it meets with a distinct quality, called consciousness, it becomes cognizant.” However, if it is the case that the self turns into consciousness, because it possesses mind, it follows that your former claim of its incognizance is invalidated. Since you asserted before that it does not possess mind and asserted later that it does so, this is also contradictory to your assertion that the self is permanent.

Kagyu - The Kagyu school traces its origin to the eleventh-century translator Marpa, who studied in India with Nāropa. Marpa's student Milarepa trained Gampopa, who founded the first monastery of the Kagyu order. Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a compassionate being who is training on the path to buddhahood and aspires to eliminate the suffering of all beings and take all sentient beings to the state of enlightenment. The Mahāyāna sūtras including those on buddha-nature generally have bodhisattvas as the main audience or interlocutors for the Buddha's discourses. Skt बोधिसत्त्व  Tib བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ།  Ch 菩薩
