If cyclic existence were mind, it follows that it would be what is purified, since the mind is naturally luminous. If it were not mind, your own philosophical system collapses, since you then accept an entity that is not mind. If cyclic existence were a nonentity, it would not perform a function. Or, [671] since it then would be without nature, you would enter the philosophical system of Centrists. . . . If you say that mind alone is the ultimate, you must assert that it is free from apprehended and apprehender.
