| English | As long as there is clinging to the aggregates as truly existent, the innate view of the transitory collection, or clinging to an “I,” arises. And it is taught that for the complete discarding of the view of the transitory collection, it is certainly necessary to remove all clinging to the true existence of the aggregates. The third and fourth lines of the quotation show that when the view of the transitory collection, that is, ego-clinging, is present, birth in samsara ensues through the power of action. Since Chandrakīrti also explains this passage in the same way, I consider it to be tenable. |
