English

The meaning of the example used by the Sāṁkhyas is also invalid. If the apprehension of form exists even in the nature of sound-consciousness, it ought to be apparent, and therefore it must be visible. But no one has ever observed the apprehension of form to have the nature of the apprehension of sound. And in the same way, a sound-consciousness is never experienced (seen to exist) in relation to an object that is a form.
