| English | The root of craving is discursive thought born from conceptual elaboration, and conceptual elaboration is eliminated by emptiness. Imputed conceptions are overridden simply by seeing the truth—as when one realizes that there is no snake but only a rope. By contrast, innate thought patterns are gradually eliminated by one’s growing used to the antidote present in one’s mind-stream. Finally, when the mind takes on the state of the antidote, even the subtlest seeds of ignorance are eliminated, never to return, just as within the mandala of the sun there is no trace of darkness. |
