| English | According to some explanations, the Buddha has four kaya, or bodies. For one’s own purpose, there are two: the swabavakaya which is doubly pure, and the dharmakaya which is the ultimate state of primordial wisdom. In different terms, these are also known as the great bliss aspect and emptiness aspect respectively. The two can also be considered as one, and thus this categorization does not contradict an explanation of three kaya. |
