The Bodhisattva immediately took seven steps in each of the six directions, and it is said that at each place that his foot touched the earth, lotuses with thousands of petals appeared, each the size of a chariot wheel. With the roar of a lion, he proclaimed, "I am exalted in this world,” and other auspicious words.
