| English | When the time arrived to tame beings in the realm of Jambudivipa, he passed the jeweled crown to the Bodhisattva Maitreya, designating him as his regent. He announced to the gods, "I now embark for the human realm in order to tame beings there. The invincible Bodhisattva Maitreya shall teach you the holy Dharma. Dwell heedful of the doctrine. When I turn the wheel of Dharma in Jambudivipa, come to receive the teachings there.” With these words, he gradually descended. This is known as the deed of transference from Dushita heaven. |
