English

The purpose of offering is to fully grasp enlightenment thought, which has boundless precious qualities as explained above. The objects to whom offerings are made are the fully and perfectly enlightened Buddhas who have achieved the stage of doubly pure suchness; the precious stainless noble Dharma that is summarized in scripture and realization; and the precious exalted Sangha, the Bodhisattvas, who are the Noble Sons of the Buddhas. These precious Three Jewels have boundless vast and profound good qualities, like an ocean’s fathomless depth. The method of offering both material and mentally created offering substances is to offer them with a very clear mind completely liberated from the three cycles.
